Updating because the last entry was a year agoAlright, so I have to at least write something of substance here... so... there's this community called the 405th Infantry Division. Basically a community for people creating their own Halo costumes and props. And yes, it can be done using papercraft too (eg. [link]). For the sheer awesomeness of some of the completed projects, its definitely worth checking out.
